Chapter 9
Chapter 9 of the books goes into e-commerce which is buying or selling goods online. It starts off describing the different categories of e-commerce like B2B, B2C, C2C C2B and also provides examples of each one. Paying for these e-commerce purchases with software that enables a user to for these e-commerce purchases is called digital wallet or e-wallet which was created in 1998 by Peter Thiel and Max Levhin. This has since had many upgrades to provide a safe way to pay for online purchase. There are privacy and security concerns as with anything done on the web however this is being combated by some company’s using an assurance provider. I use this all the time in the form of Apple Pay so it was interesting to see how everything works together from online purchases down to the payments.
