Chapter 5
Chapter 5 of the Internet Concepts book talks about user generated content on the internet. The chapter also breaks down and discusses push and pull communications. Some examples of push communications include social media, blogs and chat. These describe users putting information out on the web. Pull communications include podcasts and newsfeeds in which the user is getting information from the web. You use either or both of those communication methods every day. News aggregator websites like Google News and Buzzfeed display many different feeds from different sources on one page. This chapter also has an important lesson on watching what you post online on social media platforms as it can have an impact on your future, I think it’s important everyone knows that.
